On January 21, 2017 I co-hosted a motivational brunch in Santa Monica, CA on goal setting and the importance of setting S.M.A.R.T.E.R. goals. It was my platform to introduce my business to the world while forcing myself to be accountable to see it through. I've had the vision for my image consulting firm for years. I'm sure it started in high school when I discovered my love for fashion after I was no longer forced to wear school uniforms. Actually, maybe it was before that because I always did look forward to wearing my best on "free dress day" in elementary and middle school. But image consulting is more than just fashion. It is everything included in what makes you, you! The way you walk. The way you talk. Your hand gestures. Your smile, or lack there of. All of this (and more) is what creates your image.

So why is this so important to me?

I became passionate about image consulting after seeing first-hand how one's image can impact your career and overall life. I've worked in several different industries from high fashion to aerospace and the theme remains the same. Image is everything! Looking and acting the part is key when you want to excel. I have worked with extremely smart engineers who are responsible for designing and building aircraft engines, but they will never interact with senior management because they cannot prepare and present a powerpoint effectively. I have also worked with individuals who may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but because of their charismatic personality and well-tailored suits, they have a seat at the table. Image is EVERYTHING!

A first impression is made after just 7 seconds of interaction. 7 seconds of interaction. 7 seconds! That is not a long time at all which means 90% of this perception is formed based on the external appearance. What did you wear to work today? Did you comb your hair?
